William Chestnutt

William Chestnutt, 71, of Rushville died Sept. 12, 2026, at his home.

He was born July 18, 1955, in Beardstown, a son of William and Goldie Newberry Chestnutt.

Surviving are one son, Landon; one daughter, Faith; three sisters, Dorothy Orill (and Ralph) of Rushville, Cindy Tucker (and Charlie) of Beardstown and Barbara Mangold (and Daniel) of Frederick; one brother, Frank Chestnutt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Leslie Chestnutt; and two sisters, Lori Ann Chestnutt and Sue Yvonne Chestnutt.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
