Betsy Welch
She was born Sept. 12, 1974, in Galesburg, a daughter of Ora and Mary Shaw Welch Jr. Surviving are her parents, Ora and Mary Welch Jr. of Industry; her significant other, Timothy Emerick of Industry; two daughters, Colleen Welch and Maelynn Emerick, both of Industry; one sister, Diane (and Junior) Hammond of Astoria; two grandchildren, Nakeeta Lee and Lucian Lee, both of Industry; and two nephews, Seth Hammond and Taylor Hammond. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Jetta Shaw, Ora and Lula Welch Sr. She was a 1993 graduate of VIT High School. Cremation rites have been accorded. Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Shelter House at Pinhook Park in Industry.
