Darrel Buswell

Darrel G. Buswell, 71, of Ipava died Aug. 12, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 12, 1954, in Canton, a son of Kenneth E. and Esta “Claribel” Klinedinst Buswell.

Surviving are one brother, Donald (and Niccole) Buswell of Ipava; six nephews, Nicholas Hagen, Devin (and Becky) Buswell, Chase (and Lily) Hagen, Jacob (and Alisa) Buswell, Elijah (and Emily) Buswell and Josiah (and Niccole) Buswell; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a life-long carpenter. Darrel, along with his brother Donald, started Buswell Builder’s Construction 37 years ago. After Donald’s retirement, Phillip Buswell became Darrel’s partner in the business.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Berean Christian Church in Ipava with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Ipava Fire Department or the Ipava Ballpark.
