Monica Maloney

Monica F. Maloney, 44, of Augusta died at 9:45 p.m. July 29, 2025, at her home in Augusta after an eight-month battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 27, 1980, in Carthage, the daughter of Todd B. and Rudy Forquer Petersen. She married Jason Maloney on July 24, 2000, in Fulton County. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Mike Maloney of Macomb and Brian Maloney of Augusta.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She loved to cook. She was most at home in her restaurant, smiling and talking with the customers and employees. She was the face of Rudy’s and loved serving the community.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Rudy’s Restaurant and The Stagger Inn at 510 Main St., Augusta. The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her family.
