Marian Anderson
She was born March 18, 1928, at home in rural Brown County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lillian Sherrer Fuqua. She married Glen Anderson on Oct. 4, 1953, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2007. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Trone; and two brothers, Lozelle Fuqua and Richard Fuqua. Surviving are two sons, Derrick (and Kim) Anderson and Brian (and fianceé Erika Coleman) Anderson, all of Rushville; one brother, Bill and (Shirley) Fuqua of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She worked for the Circuit Clerk at the county courthouse for several years. Funeral services were held Monday, July 6, at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Stacy Tomich officiating. Burial followed at the Rushville City Cemetery.
