Luther KlinedinstLuther Klinedinst, 98, of Bushnell died June 19, 2026, at The Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.

He was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Fulton County, a son of Russell and Maxine Tuthill Klinedinst. He married Nina McLaren on Sept. 18, 1947, in Astoria. She preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 2013.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Klinedinst; one brother, Bill Klinedinst; and one sister, Dorothy Parry.

Surviving are three sons, Gerald (and Marcena) Klinedinst of Avon, Donald Klinedinst of Macomb and Kevin (and Tammy) Klinedinst of Bushnell; one sister, Virginia Thomas of Littleton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He has been a hard worker his entire life. He left school in eighth grade when his father fell ill to work the family farm. In the late forties, he and Nina moved to Bushnell when he took a job at the hammer factory. After that, he began working construction with Verne Eggers of Macomb. He went out on his own starting Klinedinst Construction. Klinedinst Construction was known for cutting trees, building houses, remodeling and just about anything you can imagine.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Pastor Mike Eddy officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bushnell Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Rescue Squad.
