Brad Hunter

Brad W. Hunter, 59, of Vermont died May 3, 2026, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

He was born Jan. 25, 1967, in Macomb, a son of Kenneth Hunter and Phyllis Parry.

Surviving are five children, Wade Hunter, Cassey Hilliard, Christopher Hilliard, Dustin Hilliard and Harley Hilliard; mother, Phyllis Bernius; eight siblings, Scott Parry, Troy (and Tonya) Hunter, Misty (and Robert) Varesko, Nikki (and Dave Stomberg) Bernius, Angela Owens, Rhonda (and Anthony) Baker, Rikki Bernius and Danni Bernius; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Henry and Stella Hunter and Willis and Doris Parry; step-father, Michael Bernius; and one brother, Jeffrey Hunter.

He enjoyed farming and was a farmhand for Joe and Denny Fross.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Vermont American Legion in Vermont.

Memorials may be made to the Brad Hunter Memorial Fund.
