Shirley Thrash
She was born Feb. 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Francis and Maxine Grate Jackson. She married Andrew “Ace” Thrash on Sept. 23, 1956, in Beardstown. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Janice Workman (and Mike) of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Angela Hardy (and Brian) of Rushville, Andy Kerr (and Amy) of St. Louis, Mo., Toni Braden (and Tommie) of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Brian Workman (and Dana) of Newburgh, Ind.; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Monica Shepherd; and one sister, Sandra Ufen. She enjoyed many adventures with Ace traveling throughout the United States creating long lasting memories. Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating. Burial followed at the Rushville City Cemetery.
