Norma Starbuck
She was born April 28, 1931, in Macomb, a daughter of Lloyd and Florence Maddox Lawson. She married Daniel Francis Starbuck on Dec. 1, 1950, in Macomb. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2011. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Lawson; and one sister, Virginia Wheeler. Surviving are two children, Charlene (and Jim) Abernathy of Table Grove and Mark (and Rebecca) Starbuck of Cuba; three grandchildren, Kevin (and Brandi) Abernathy, Eric (and Mollie) Abernathy and Rachel (and Dan) Wyatt; and two great-grandchildren, Lily Abernathy and Gavin Abernathy. She and her husband were the owner and operators of Dan’s TV in Lewistown for many years. She was a member and officer of the Spoon River Professional Women’s Club and a former member of the Ipava Order of the Eastern Star. Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 27, at 2 p.m. in the Ipava Cemetery with Mike Ulmer officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements. Norma Jean Starbuck, 94, of Macomb, formerly of Lewistown, died at 2:29 p.m. March 20, 2026, at The Lamoine Retirement Living in Macomb.
