Kenny KesslerKenneth “Kenny” Kessler, 82, of rural Bushnell died at 2:50 a.m. March 22, 2026, at The Elms Nursing Home.

He was born in Macomb, a son of Archie and Maxine Hinds Kessler. He married Donna Marie Hardisty on March 8, 1964, in rural Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Mitchell (and Carrie) Kessler of Macomb, Pamela (and Mike) Francis of Springfield and Myron (and Leslie) Kessler of Vermont; one brother, Max (and Debbie) Kessler of Beulah, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Maddie Rhoades.

He was a 1961 graduate of Macomb High School. He worked for Watson Seed Farm for 17 years before serving as the Macomb Township Road Commissioner for 16 years. Following his time as commissioner, he drove a semi for Western Illinois Grain for over a decade and later for Jerry Erlandson for more than 11 years.

He was a faithful member of Argyle Bible Church since 1969. He also was a member of the Good Hope-Sciota Lions Club and the Argyle Gas Engine Antique Tractor Club.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Good Hope Cemetery with Pastor Sam Kostreva officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Good Hope-Sciota Fire Protection District.
