Judy Malott
She was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Havana, the daughter of Glenn and Velma Gould Thompson. She married Dale R. Malott on April 20, 1963, in Summum. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2013. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Max and Dean Thompson. Surviving are one daughter, Cindy (and Rick) Martin of Macomb; one son, Mike Malott of Table Grove; three grandchildren, Ryan (and Ashley) Martin of Colchester, Chris (and Alayna) Martin of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Dacey (and Trenton) Briney of Astoria; and three great-grandchildren. She was a 1959 graduate of Astoria High School and began her working career after high school living at the YWCA in Peoria, working for Lucas and Sons as a secretary. She later enjoyed working for Speer’s Grocery Store in Table Grove. She was a proud member of Table Grove Community Church. Services were held Saturday, March 7, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial followed at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Pastor Mike Ulmer officiated.
