Glenn Smith
He was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Beardstown, a son of Edward “Buck” Smith and Goldie Gabert Smith. He married Brenda Palmer on Dec. 8, 1967, in Beardstown. Surviving are one son, Troy Smith of Rushville; two daughters, Amanda Sherwin (and Troy) of Whitehall and Olivia Lisenbee (and Chris) of Beardstown; one brother, Willie Smith (and Trish) of Cuba; two sisters, Alice Huggins (and Ed) of Canton and Rose Ann Blakley of Columbia, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Rick Smith; and one brother, Edward L. Smith. He worked at Bohn Aluminum in Beardstown for 25 years then worked at Morton Metal Craft in Morton for 24 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 24, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. Burial was at the Rushville City Cemetery.
