Sydney Williams
She was born Sept. 12, 1998, in Canton, a daughter of Curtis Lee and Kacie Lynn Shaw Williams. Surviving are her fiancé Kohlton Clark and daughter Lynley Kay Clark, both of Astoria; mother, Kacie Shaw of Astoria; father, Curtis Williams of Astoria; one sister, Kassidy (and Moses Salinas) Williams of Astoria; one brother, Rylee (and Sami LaMaster) Williams of Astoria; nephews, Mateo Salinas and Dallas Williams; grandparents, Doug and Cheryl Shaw of Astoria and Susan Williams of Marietta; and great-grandmothers, Carol Shaw of Summum and Shirley Mahr of Canton. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Francis Williams; and great-grandfathers, Herbert Shaw and Lyle Mahr. She worked at Klide’s Fast Stop in Astoria for several years. She then went on to work at KIFCO in Havana for five years and was currently the owner and operator of Sydney’s Day Care Center in Astoria. She was a past volleyball coach for the Astoria Junior High School. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Chuck Wolter officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
